Not Everyone Understands HouseMusic….. DERs002

Classic Funk & Soul Albums on vinyl

DER-C-6.jpg

Deep Excavations Recordings is proud to present DERs002 Robert Bruen “Eyes Open” original, with remixes from Alan Keane, Joeski and Wayne Duggan.

The guys at DER’s have been playing “Eyes Open” in their sets and mixes for a while now. Each time it is played out on big sound systems, the audience reacts.

The slow deep track builds with soft synth, layered with a driving echo, groovy bassline sucking the listener in and pushing them out on the break. Robert sprinkles the 2nd half of the track with a classic house piano.

Alan’s remix brings the piano forward in the track, adding some filters and delays.

Waterford native Wayne “Duggy” Duggan now hustling in Berlin strips the original bare, while building down tempo laid back track, using seducing pads and sexy xylophone over the female vox.

Joeski’s techy remix kicks off with his trade mark deep thumping beat, sprinkled with cut elements (notable the piano & synth). Mid way through the remix, big Joe shifts gear upping the tempo and drive of the track, taking the listen to a new direction
